You don’t need to be afraid of the dentist here. Dr. Johnston is known throughout the Rogue Valley as the “Gentle Touch Dentist”. Though, Johnston Dental Care is a general dentistry, Dr. Johnston has created a successful dentist practice by building on the “Family Dentist” aspect and being able to work and relate well with children. When it comes to pediatric dental care, it is this quality that matters, because any dentist can provide just the services.

So, kids and adults…Let’s just schedule an initial appointment that will include a detailed examination of your child’s teeth and gums as well as a discussion of dental and oral development, diet, oral hygiene, and fluoride. Sounds like a mouthful, but it’s not really a big deal. In this initial dental appointment we can also address any specific concerns or questions that you or your child may have. We know visiting the dentist can be a cause of anxiety in children, and some adults, but we’re very good at putting the clinical aspect aside to create a family environment in our dental office.

To us, Pediatric dental care is just like adult dental care. After we’ve had a chance to get to know each other a little better and your kids can see that the dentists office isn’t such a scary place, we can take some x-rays if that’s appropriate for diagnostic purposes. Additional services are generally scheduled for a subsequent visit which allows us to create a treatment plan that is specific to your child. Of course, our goal is to nip any poor dental hygiene practices in the bud and set your children off on the right foot with proper brushing techniques, and flossing. After all good dental practice makes for easy dental visits.

Typically, fees are due and payable when services are rendered.

We accept cash, check, Visa, and MasterCard. We’re responsible for the quality of dental services but your responsible for the balance and payment must be made at the time of visit. We will gladly submit an itemized statement to your insurance company on your behalf.

We participate with multiple insurance companies for your convenience.
