Dallas -EFDA - Lead Dental Assistant

Dallas – EFDA, Lead Dental Assistant

Dallas’ journey in Southern Oregon started in 2007 when her family moved here from Utah. She graduated high school in 2016 and started the Dental Assisting program at Abdill Career College in 2017. After graduating, Dallas started at Johnston Dental Care. She feels blessed to be working with such an amazing group of individuals. In her free time, Dallas enjoys spending time with her husband Mathew, hiking, riding quads, and going to the gym.

Gara - EFDA (Dental Assistant)

Gara – EFDA

Gara was born in Southern California and raised in Wimer, graduating from Rogue River high school in 1994. She had an interest in the dental field for many years while raising her children. When her youngest was seven years old she started taking classes at Rogue Community College. In 2013 she graduated from the dental assisting program, and in 2015 graduated with an associates degree. Gara loves being part of the Johnston Dental Care team and helping the day run smoothly for the doctors, her other coworkers, and most importantly for our patients. Her favorite procedures are crowns and extractions. When she is not working she spends time with her daughters, granddaughters, and fiance. Gara also loves hiking, hanging out at the river or lake, going to concerts, and entering contests.

Ashley - EFDA  (Dental Assistant)

Ashley – EFDA

Ashley grew up in Central Point and loves the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She has always been interested in what goes on in the dental office and took the leap to start working in dentistry in 2019 with an interest in helping people improve their oral health and overall health as a result! She loves the mission of JDC in meeting the needs of each individual patient and working together to achieve a healthy smile. Outside of the office, she likes to hike, play sports and travel together with her son.

Hunter - EFDA (Dental Assistant)

Hunter – RFDA

Hunter is a Pacific Northwest local and enjoys spending most of her time outdoors, hiking or shooting archery and spending time with her two French Bulldogs. She loves dentistry because she is able to help ease patients’ anxiety and build lifelong relationships. She finished the education in dental restorative functions and is excited to share her new skills!

Sommer - DA (Dental Assistant)

Sommer – DA

Sommer and her family moved to Grants Pass when she was seven years old and she immediately felt captured by the beauty that surrounded her in Southern Oregon. She loves being busy and multitasking and has followed her mom into the medical field, first as a CNA but found her true passion in dentistry. She graduated from OSU dental assisting in Sept 2017, and started working with Johnston Dental care in July 2019. Sommer says “I’ve always had a desire to be a part of something that was life changing for others, to make an impact in others’ lives. The absolute number one thing I love about dentistry is the endless opportunities for growth. I personally feel very blessed to have found such a wonderful career that keeps on giving!”

Sabrina - DA  (Dental Assistant)

Sabrina – DA

Sabrina was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and moved to southern Oregon when she was 2. She was raised in Grants pass and graduated from North Valley High School in 1999. In 2005, she attended Apollo College in Phoenix, Arizona gaining a certificate in dental assisting. Shortly after, she moved back to Grants Pass to continue her dental career. She enjoys the dental field because she gets to meet people and building relationships with patients. When away from work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with family and friends.

Sabrina - DA  (Dental Assistant)

Hannah – DA

Hannah was raised in Southern Oregon and studied Dental Assisting at Rogue Community College after graduating from North Valley High School. She loves helping people and being in a field that raises people’s confidence and gives them a reason to smile! She herself has experienced gaining confidence through dental work and loves to see that transformation in others! She loves spending time with her family, going on walks to the park with her two little ones and shopping with friends.
